Amazing what a difference white paint makes....

At our last place... we had a black china cabinet... and this black table.

They complimented each other well in that house.

But now at our new place...
We got rid of the black China Cabinet and
our black table is sticking out like a sore thumb.

I decided for this project I would finally order some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and give that a try.
I love the matte finish. However it was hard to get used to... and the wax was a little difficult.
I would be lying if I said this project was not challenging...
But in the end it was worth it, this table looks 10000 times better.

I love how this paint distresses.

Now to get some shelves on that blank wall.
Change out that light fixture
Paint the trim
Paint the Pantry door
And put wood floors in the kitchen....

One tiny step down in a very very large project.

What do you think?
I currently have a crush on this pretty gal :)

  1. The table and chairs look amazing! We have a similar black dining set and I've been thinking about giving it a makeover. I'm in the middle of painting a bedroom set with ASCP and the wax is definitely interesting! Your hard work paid off though! It looks fabulous!
