Simple Fall Centerpiece.

I love decorating the house for fall. It's something about the coziness that comes along with it.

Stained dark wood
Pumpkins
Candles
leaves...

Something so simple... that only takes a few minutes to throw together... makes such a statement :)

This box was so easily created with a bunch of scrap 1x4's.
Mine is 6 foot long. I mix Dark walnut and grey stain together to come up with the finish.
I also bang up the wood a bit before staining these, by hitting it with a hammer.. or running nails along it... something to give it that worn in look.
Pumpkins were purchased at the dollar store.
Battery candles came from TJ Max.
And the garland of leaves... came from my basement. I thin originally I might have grabbed it at Michael's.

Not bad for the grand total being under 25 dollars (and the candles were 15 of that)
Luckily... something like this is so easy to swap out for Christmas.

What is your favorite holiday to decorate for?

Christmas Wrap Up

This was the first year that I felt the magic in Christmas... It is truly the best Christmas experience I have ever had. Maddux's eyes lighting up at even the mention of Santa. It was by far my most memorable Christmas to date. This year he loved everything about the holidays. He loved decorating the Christmas tree, making gingerbread houses, visiting Santa, checking to see what mischief Clint got himself into every morning, making Christmas cookies, and he was absolutely Giddy all of Christmas eve in anticipation of Christmas morning.

Here is a recap of all of our holiday memories leading up to Christmas.

Some of the adventures Clint our elf had this year...

We made cookies for Santa... with LOTS of sprinkles

Santa stopped at Nana and Papa's for a quick visit.

We spent a day at the tree farm.

We made gingerbread houses with our cousins

Drank Lots of hot cocoa!
And Christmas eve we were giddy with excitement for the arrival of Santa! :)

Christmas morning we decide to take video rather than pulling out the camera. However, i did capture one of my favorite presents my niece opened Christmas morning from my mom. This adorable unicorn Hoodie she found on Etsy. Isn't this just adorable????

I hope you all had a magical Christmas filled with wonder, love, and family.

I already can't wait for the magical season to begin next year :) Love this time with family and friends!

Christmas House Tour

I have been a little MIA this month. As most of you know, we lost our 2nd pregnancy... and besides that I have been in and out of hospitals the past month for an infection in my throat, that seems to baffle doctors... and they just throw out antibiotics at me... and I am hoping the most recent one they gave me will work so we can put this behind us. (fingers crossed)

I am starting to feel better... and realized I haven't shared our Christmas decor around the house, so I thought I would do a quick Xmas house tour with you :)

So here are some snippets of the Christmas decor around the house

Hope you all Have a great Christmas Eve with all your Family and Friends! :)

Merry Christmas!

Halloween Photos in November

If you follow me on facebook or Instagram you already saw that my son went as Snake Eyes for Halloween. This year he was dead set on being a ninja. I still cannot figure out why. We don't watch any ninja cartoons... he doesn't play with ninjas... so somewhere along the line... someone stole his heart with this idea of a ninja. So I tried and tried to convince him to be a ninja turtle. because it was adorable. But nope. I was not winning. My child is stubborn. So Stubborn.

Luckily... he made a pretty cute Snake eyes too :)

So here he is in all his Halloween Glory. And a random photo dump (He loves posing for photos in his costume! )

Snake Eyes. Aka. Maddux.

My kid is seriously awesome.
Cracks me up with his Ninja Posing :)

Hope you all had a safe and warm Halloween!!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

This past weekend we visited the pumpkin patch! :)
I love the pumpkin patch. This weekend was a little cold. But we went to a new one we haven't been to before and we had a blast. As you can see by the photos Maddux loved it :)

Excited for all the pumpkins!

So many pumpkins to choose from! He got to pick out his own pumpkin so we can make a captain america pumpkin for Halloween! :)

The Skeleton Band was a favorite. He just stood at the fence and watched. :)

We always love these photo ops! :) He's getting bigger!

He explained to me that this is where the zombies live... and this was his zombie face. (boys).

We loved the mounds of pumpkins.

Possibly the greatest thing ever was the corn pit. This was amazing. He could have stayed in there all day.

The Slide was a hit. We were waiting at the top for the lady to tell us we were clear to go.... when he lets out a scream of "THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME" My favorite line of the whole weekend :)

The best expression ever. This was his first time riding a ride all by himself. He did great! :) Such a big boy!

Just hanging out in the pumpkins...

 A wanted little man.

And last not but not least. The awesome reaction to the pig races :) Who knew he would love them this much?

All in all great weekend. And I hope we can come back to this Pumpkin Patch as a yearly tradition. We spent about 6 hours there and he loved every single minute of it. 10 bucks well spent :)

I love this time of year... its the beginning of all the magic of the holiday season. Looking forward to so many new memories we will create this year.
Did any of you wait until the last weekend to hit up the pumpkin patch too? Next year we will go earlier... Brrrr what a cold day!
