I needed some artwork on a blank wall in my dining room... and I came across this pin on Pinterest found Here.
So this week... we got to making our own DIY version of it...
and came up with this.
Final Reveal of the library finally coming up on the blog this week!
Long overdue! This was the final project for that room... :)

Playroom Inspiration
We have been going back and forth on Maddux's birthday gift this year. His birthday falls a couple weeks before Christmas so he gets an insane amount of toys within a 14 day span.
So after talking it over we came up with redoing his playroom for him... and making it an awesome fun space he will love.
We are planning on starting this project in November... so right now just collecting ideas on what we might want to do.
We have a window in the middle of the wall like this below. and we are thinking about building in a seating area. something deep enough though to mimic a twin bed. so that way we can throw a mattress up there for if we ever need an extra bed.
However rather than going with white (I still might go with white) But I have been toying around with the idea of doing colored furniture with white walls. Something like this... maybe?
And then adding a loft area inside the closet with some shelves to store some toys/books/and what not.

I always like to incorporate photos as much as I can... here are a few looks I am loving
And I love the idea of a media center with so much storage.
So those are a few ideas we are kicking around. we want to create a unique space he will love to play in. but also somewhere we can hang out with him.
I am definitely wanting to do the closet loft. how cute is that?

How Pinteresting
A collection of my favorite pins lately...
How adorable would this be on your sidewalk. I love it

Loving this floor to ceiling wainscoting - thinking about doing this in the dining room
Hoping I have some scrap wood left over to make these!
I can't wait to make some of these books out of our instagram photos! :)
With the library being almost ready to decorate... this might come in handy!
We had to take out the locker system out of our laundry room when we replaced the old dryer. I am picturing more storage in there this time around... and this set up is adorable.
And this outfit...
What is inspiring you?

Pinteresting....
This week a few big projects are beginning.... The stairs makeover and replacing the dining room floor.
So posts this week are a little short.
Meanwhile... While working away at the current projects. I thought I would share with you some Inspiration.
I am hoping to put in a fire pit area in the backyard this summer. This photo is almost exactly what I am envisioning. I think it is adorable... and affordable :)
Coffee Table is a must. This needs to happen soon. Right now ... this one is my favorite.
White Strawberry Sangria - Cannot wait until summer!!!
Love this tutorial on door trim.
Young House Love just shared their fireplace makeover. It is Uh-Mazing. Check it out.
This outdoor playhouse is the cutest thing ever.
So this week will be busy.
But there is a giveaway coming up this week :)
Working on the final coat now ...

PInterest Inspiration for this week
I thought I would share some of my curtain projects coming up that have been inspired by ... Pinterest.
And explain to you plans... the work in progress and hopefully this will be motivation to get my butt moving on some of these :)
1. I went and had an Engineer Print printed off at Staples. One of the photos Melody took of Maddux this winter. I finally just got to framing it out this weekend. And I will be showing my version this week, but here is one of the pins that inspired me to do so
2. I recently purchased the e-book from TheHandmadeHome.net - a blog that I simply adore. If you haven't been over there. You should. She captures everything I love about a home...Mainly photos. I love photos. Her and her husband built all the frames they use in their house and most of the artwork too. Her book has a lot of plans for these frames. I just put up 4 gallery ledges in the bedroom so I cannot wait to use my scrap wood to start filling this up. This may take while to share we will have to see how many frames I can create... considering I have 4 empty shelves... but I will definitely be using this book for inspiration.
3. My sliding doors have seen their last day.... hello french doors. How I love the black in the kitchen mixed in with all the white. Once these babies get installed I am whipping out that paint brush!
4. Current furniture plans I am building for Melody. This thing is built... Finishing up painting it this week.
5. The basement is still being worked on. We are hoping to have it mudded within the next few weeks. Once that gets done, I am planning on adding a similar wall treatment to the basement stairs as this.
6. Now I am planning on building both of these things for me. I need crates for storage always. And the idea of having a chalkboard front... that I can change out is also calling my name! And this little IPad holder is ingenious, I always have mine in the kitchen for recipes and what not.
Now... question. Which would you rather see as a giveaway? Ipad holder or a couple of chalkboard crates? Anyone care to win either of these?
Tonight, I am having a skyping chat with another blogger. Hoping to work with her and have some custom made plans for my dining room library plans. So exciting! Let's hope it goes well and I can share all the details with you :)

Kidspiration :)
I have been looking around on Pinterest and there are quite a few things I am planning on building for Maddux's room. And quite a few Kid Items I plan on building for some giveaways.
So while we are in the middle of a few projects I thought I would share some of my inspiration
I am planning on building a table and chairs for the playroom. Somewhere Maddux can sit and color. Or more likely... some where to sit and play with his action figures. These are the chairs I am loving
How fun would this be in his room? I am loving this idea. Easy enough of a project... If only I could sew
Thinking about a new twist to the growth chart I made. Maybe for a giveaway? I love mine I use for Maddux. Plus these make awesome gifts... :)
I have been dying to build a girly kitchen. Giveaway Maybe?
This would be perfect to hold all of his action figures... Hmmm
Table I plan on building for the play room
Desperately needing some closet organization. I really like the shelves in this one
This picture is adorable. But i was thinking some chalkboard crates to hold toys would be great. I could re-label :)
So keep watching. I should have some new furniture for Maddux after this weekend. And possibly... a new giveaway :)
